To encourage the girl students, the college has an active Women Development Cell that undertakes the activities to encourage them. The following activities were conducted throughout the year:


·        The formal inauguration of WDC was held on 24th July 2015 with the participation of 95 girls. The chief guest Principal Dr. Sunil Sharma motivated girls for higher education. The inaugural program was followed by a ‘Food Competition’ arranged by the girl students of S.Y.B.Com (B). In all 26 food items with beautiful decoration were presented by the students. The judges Ms. Gaganmala and Mrs. Prema Singh appreciated, motivated and gave tips for arranging such types of program in future. All the teachers participated in the inaugural function and the program ended with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Jyotsana Agarwala, Secretary of WDC.


·        Women Development Cell also conducted an Anemia Test on 11th August, 2015 for the girl student. Dr. Vikas Kamble an M.D. took one hour session on “Healthy food habits and importance of balanced diet and exercise” in life of women. He also cleared some doubts of students and encouraged girls to undertake such program, so that society also can be made aware of it. Dr. Mr. More & Dr. Ms. More conducted the blood test of 53 girl students and reported that 20% of girls were found to be anaemic. Under the hosting of Prof. Ms. Janki Mehtani, the program was concluded with suggestions for the balanced diet for maintaining the correct level of hemoglobin in blood.


·        Also ‘Haldi KumKum’ function was organised on 19th January, 2016. All the teachers, parents and women from the vicinity were invited to celebrate this function on account of Makar Sankranti. In all 94 women enjoyed the function. For college teachers Housie game was arranged and prizes were given to the winners. The committee extends hearty thanks to our Principal Sir for gracing this occasion with his kind words and all the sponsors making the program successful with gifts and prizes.
